Is it GOD or us?

Being here in Tokyo , I come across questions about religion and God  very often .

All of a sudden what I realized is that India boosts of being one of the most religious countries of this cosmos. Well that means in addition to human abilities we have the power of religion, divine faith etc etc. But unfortunately next what knocked my mind was the fact that even in this 21^st century we are nowhere near to being a developed country. Forget development half of us are unsure about even about getting the next meal.

So who do we blame for this , comparing ourselves from the better nations of the world ,

We aren�ft short of any natural resources , we have ample of vegetation , smart human brains and that too more than we have asked for .In addition to this  we have �gGOD�h existing for us in all shapes colours and sizes. BUT  we are not even near to comfortable nations like US ,JAPAN , GERMANY , UK , ------------------- this is an unending list. So that means our religion has stopped from growing, from asking for better lives for all our selves.

Well I guess we have left too much on destiny and God and have been under estimating our own human strengths or may be this way leaving things on God and destiny, is an escape route from working hard. Maybe  we have entrusted too much on him , rather than slogging our way to whatever we want .Why have we forgotten �gGod helps those only  who help themselves�h . Why don�ft we realize that he has empowered us with an intelligence and physical strength to get what we want, rather than merely going to temples and pleading him to grant our wishes? Why its easier for us to fold hands before him than to use those two hands to write an additional report or to make an additional software or to plough another piece of land etc etc.

Another thing is of course that isn�ft it that we spend too much of our time in religious practices .Has God mentioned this is his terms and conditions anywhere . Isnt sincere hard work a better way of praying to God or thanking him. Why is it that taking bath in Ganga can purify us but we cannot help an old person cross a road? We visit the temple twice but we aren�ft honest to the very next human being. Aren�ft we �gOFF THE MOTIVE�h somewhere?

I GUESS WE HAVE EVEN LET DOWN GOD!!
